Yoga for Winter with Paula

Does winter get to you after a while? Why not make the most of it! Join Paula and enjoy the opportunity to learn practices to help balance out the qualities of winter. Ether and air are the dominant elements of winter: the qualities are cold, dry, rough, subtle, and light. Practices that focus on the opposite qualities hot, oily, smooth, soft, and heavy can bring balance. This can also be called an Ayurvedic approach to yoga, the practices change as the seasons change. Explore a sampler of yoga, including yin and restorative, breathing techniques, meditation, mantra, and self massage. The intended result of this 5 session offering is for you to learn a few techniques, through direct experience, that resonate with you and leave you feeling warm, grounded, serene, and relaxed. No experience necessary, come to one or all five as each class will be unique. Feel free to bring a journal for notes or reflection and an eye mask. The fee for this class is $15.
